Naval Dockyard Apprentice Vacancy: Naval Dockyard Mumbai has released the official notification for recruitment to Apprentice posts. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of Naval Dockyard Mumbai by the prescribed date. 286 posts will be filled through this recruitment drive
Who can apply?
Different educational qualifications have been prescribed for different trades. For the ITI trade, the candidate must have passed the relevant trade under NCVT/SCVT from a recognized institute. At the same time, for non-ITI trades like Crane Operator (OSI), the candidate must be a tenth pass. The minimum qualification for the post of Rigger (non-ITI trade) has been fixed as an eighth pass.
The minimum age of the candidate has been fixed at 14 years and the maximum age at 18 years. Also, age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories as per government rules.
Exam Pattern
The written examination under the Naval Dockyard Mumbai Apprentice Recruitment will be of a total of 100 marks, which will be OMR-based. The question paper will consist of objective-type questions, carrying 35 marks for General Science, 35 marks for Mathematics, and 30 marks for General Knowledge. The duration of the exam will be 02 hours, and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers. The question paper will be available in both English and Hindi.
The exam will be held in October.
The exam center will be held in Mumbai only. The exam will be conducted in October 2025, the exact date, time, and venue of which will be informed to the candidates through an online call letter sent to their registered email ID.
Final Merit List and Selection Process
The final merit list of Apprentice Recruitment will be prepared for 20% candidates, trade and category-wise, on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination. Candidates included in the final merit list will be called for document verification and joining training. The merit list will be released within about 13 days of the date of the written examination.
Apply from this day
Section 50 of Rojgar Samachar states that the said website for filling online application will open from the third day (10:00 am) of the publication of the notification in Rojgar Samachar and will remain open for 21 days (till 11:50 pm) from the date of publication in Rojgar Samachar. Candidates will have to fill out the online application by logging in to https://applicationportal.in/.
Medical examination
The medical examination of the selected candidates will be conducted in a government hospital. The candidate will be included in the training only if he is found fully fit from the point of view of health, and he will have to submit a medical fitness certificate issued by the government hospital.
