Vietnam has been forced to shut down six airports as Typhoon Kalmaegi approached landfall in the country's central regions on Thursday afternoon, the government said in a statement.
The closure of the Buon Ma Thuot, Pleiku, Tuy Hoa, Chi Lai Phu Cat and Lien Khuong airports will affect hundreds of flights, the statement said.
