Vietnam closes six airports due to Typhoon Kalmaegi, affecting hundreds of flights

Vietnam has been forced to shut down six airports as Typhoon Kalmaegi approached landfall in the country's central regions on Thursday afternoon, the government said in a statement.

The closure of the Buon Ma Thuot, Pleiku, Tuy Hoa, Chi Lai Phu Cat and Lien Khuong airports will affect hundreds of flights, the statement said.
