Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick has shared his heartbreak over the loss of a beloved music icon, saying he "cried and cried" following the tragic news. The renowned vet expressed his deep sorrow over the recent passing of metal legend Ozzy Osbourne, also known as the Prince of Darkness.
Noel, a self-confessed fan of Ozzy, revealed a touching connection to one of the late singer's popular songs. Ozzy, who sadly passed away in July aged 76, was part of the band Black Sabbath and performed the track Paranoid, which holds a significant place in Noel's heart.
Describing Ozzy as one of his "heroes", Noel explained that the song Paranoid resonated deeply with him due to personal experiences from his childhood when he was told he "was paranoid."

In his conversation with The Times, Noel said: "When Ozzy Osbourne passed, I cried and cried. I was distraught. Paranoid was a really important song for me when I was a kid because when I reported those things that had happened (Fitzpatrick was abused as a child), I was told I was paranoid."
He added: "I feel genuinely blessed that I had the opportunity to thank one of my heroes for the light he spread in my life through his songs."
Ozzy'sdeath came less than three weeks after his farewell gigon July 5, titled Back to the Beginning, which he performed in his hometown of Birmingham alongside his Black Sabbath bandmates.
In a statement, his family wrote: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love."
Ozzy, who also carved out a hugely successful solocareer, struggled with numerous healthproblems throughout the years, including Parkinson's disease.
This devastating condition eventually rendered him unable to stand or walk without assistance. A notorious hellraiser, Ozzy also waged a well-documented war against alcoholism and drug addiction.
Back in March, Noel revealed how he reached "rock bottom" following the death of his cherished border terrier, Keira, the collapse of his relationship and his mum's terminal illness.

Noel, a veterinary surgeon who works as director and managing clinician at Fitzpatrick Referrals, was struck by tragedy when Keirawas hit by a van outside his Surrey practice.
She sustained devastating injuries and Noel chose to treat her as she lay dying in his arms. Tragically, she passed away in September 2021.
Speaking on the High Performance , he said: "Keira, the dog who was the love of my life, had a very bad accident and she was dying in my arms and I had to either fix her or let her go.
"I tried to fix her, which worked, for a while but then she had a cardiac arrest, and there's very few people I suppose have felt the heart of the being they love actually stop in their finger, as I cut down on her chest my finger was on her heart when it stopped."
