The Non-Collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB) of Delhi University has published its fifth cut-off list for admissions into undergraduate programs. In this latest list, the likelihood of securing a spot in the B.Com program is higher compared to the BA program. For students in the general category, admission is still possible at six college centers with a minimum of 40% marks, while students from reserved categories can find opportunities in several colleges with scores as low as 35%. The admission process is set to conclude on September 2 and 3, with the last date for fee submission being September 5.
Details on BA Program Admissions
For the combined History-Political Science BA program, most seats in general category colleges have already been filled. Out of 26 college centers, only five still have available spots. The cut-off marks for these colleges are as follows: Aditi College at 40%, Sister Nivedita at 40%, JDM College at 63%, Deshbandhu at 48%, and Aravindo College at 40%.
Opportunities for OBC and SC Students
Students belonging to the OBC category may find chances with scores ranging from 35% to 45%. In the SC category, 14 centers have filled their seats, while 12 centers still offer admission possibilities for scores between 35% and 40%.
Cut-Offs for Other Categories
The cut-off marks for ST, EWS, and differently-abled categories have also ranged between 35% and 45%. The fifth cut-off has provided more options for general category students in the B.Com program. Out of 26 college centers, admissions have closed in seven, while the remaining centers are accepting students with scores between 40% and 45%.
Current Seat Availability and Next Steps
According to NCWEB Director Prof. Geeta Bhatt, over 11,500 out of a total of 15,200 seats have been filled after four cut-offs. She noted that seats for OBC and ST categories remain unfilled due to the relatively low number of girls from these categories in Delhi. Prof. Bhatt mentioned that the fifth cut-off has seen a significant reduction in required marks for admission. A special cut-off will be released on September 8, which will be the final one.
