A royal author has claimed Prince Harry "didn't want to help" Meghan Markle fit in with the Royal Family. Meghan, 44, met Harry, 40, in London in 2016, before the couple tied the knot in Windsor less than two years later.
Fast-forward to January 2020, when the pair took to Instagram to share that they would be stepping down from royal duties before moving to the US with their son Archie shortly after. Meghan has previously been accused of not wanting to adapt her life to being a working royal, but now royal author Tina Brown has shared that she believes Harry was the one behind her not being able to fit in.
Harry is said to have allegedly had no desire to help his wife learn what was needed to be a royal.
Within her book, Palace Papers, Ms Brown revealed: "So why didn't Harry help navigate Palace culture for his future wife? He didn't want to."
Explaining further, she added: "Their new complicity required Meghan to fight all the norms he had kicked against for so long. She was now his comrade in arms."
She also blamed Harry's apparent "addiction to drama" as being the reason behind him not wanting to help his wife's transition.
Fellow royal author Gyles Brandeth has previously revealed that the members of the family who have had the easiest time fitting in are the ones not focused on the drama.
Like Meghan, Princess Kate also joined the family through marriage after tying the knot with Prince William back in 2011.
The late Prince Philip allegedly told her: "If you believe the attention is for you, for you personally, you're going to end up in trouble.
"The attention is for your role, what you do, what you're supporting. It isn't for you as an individual. You are not a celebrity. You are representing the Royal Family. That's all."
The Express has contacted the Sussexes for comment.
