Paige Spiranac also shared her views on the 2025 Ryder Cup. The event ended with Europe beating Team USA 15-13. It was played at Bethpage Black in New York. On the final day, European star Viktor Hovland withdrew with a neck injury. A special Ryder Cup rule called the “envelope rule” then gave both teams half a point.
Paige Spiranac strongly disagreed. She wrote on X: “It’s a bummer Hovland is hurt and can’t play but it should be an automatic point to the other team. Getting a half point is crazy.” She added: “The rule was dumb 30 years ago. The rule is dumb now. The rule is dumb regardless of which teams it helps.”
Paige Spiranac also defended Bryson DeChambeau. Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee had called him a “circus barker,” an “odd duck,” and a “captain’s nightmare.” Paige clapped back.
She said: “Brandel saying Bryson is a ‘captain’s nightmare’ is such a weird take. He’s the perfect person for this type of team event. He gets the people going! Will be fun to watch his matches this week.”
She also spoke about the fans. She said some crowds crossed the line. There were abusive chants and objects thrown. Players like Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry were targeted. Paige called this behavior wrong and said it must stop.

I mean we can’t criticize the team if we can’t even cheer for them properly. Bad look for us golf fans pic.twitter.com/PDolEgjv5Z
