Former US secretary of state and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has stirred a political storm with comments targeting " White men of a certain religion," accusing them of damaging the country.
Speaking during an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe last week, Clinton said attempts to "turn the clock back" to a world dominated by such men reflected an outdated and harmful vision.
“The idea that you could turn the clock back and try to recreate a world that never was, dominated by, you know, let’s say it, White men, of a certain persuasion, a certain religion, a certain point of view, a certain ideology, is just doing such damage to what we should be aiming for,” she remarked.
The statement has sparked sharp backlash, particularly on social media , where critics accused her of promoting division and intolerance.
The criticism has been especially strong in the wake of conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination in Utah on September 10, with detractors warning that such rhetoric could deepen existing political fault lines.
